Once a year the PL Space Center opens its doors to the public, and 2026 is no exception. On Saturday, October 3rd the NEAST Summit — North East Astronomy, Space and Technology — returns with a full day of radio astronomy, a visit to PrimaLuceLab headquarters, live telescope demonstrations on the Sun and an open-air concert under the stars. All sessions are held in Italian. Click the poster to download the full programme.
Located just north of the city of Pordenone (Italy), within the Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico technology center, the PL SPACE CENTER is an advanced facility developed by PrimaLuceLab to drive innovation in astronomical and space-related technologies. Equipped with state-of-the-art optical and radio telescopes and ground stations, it serves as a research and development site for testing and enhancing PrimaLuceLab hardware and software solutions. The PL SPACE CENTER also provides institutional partners—such as universities, research institutes, and space companies—the opportunity to experience and evaluate PrimaLuceLab technologies. Once a year, the facility opens its doors to the public for a special event designed to inspire the community through the wonder of space and scientific discovery.
INTREPID 500-20 ground station features a 5-meter diameter antenna for S/X band space communication with deep-space probes and satellites.
The SPIDER 300A MarkII radio telescope comes with a 3-meter diameter antenna and is specifically designed for 1420 MHz radio astronomy education and outreach.
The DUAL-PRO Observatory Station features a 3-meter diameter dome with dual telescopes for astrophotography, astronomy studies, & satellite imaging.
At PrimaLuceLab, our mission is to push the boundaries of astronomical and space-related technology. We created the PL SPACE CENTER as a dedicated site for research, testing, and innovation—where we develop and refine our telescopes, radio telescopes, ground stations and software solutions for both astronomy and space applications. This unique facility also allows institutional partners, such as universities, research centers, and aerospace companies, to experience and evaluate our technologies firsthand. Once a year, the PL SPACE CENTER opens its doors to the public, inviting people of all ages to discover the universe and be inspired by the possibilities of space exploration. Whether you're a researcher, an engineer, or simply passionate about the cosmos, the PL SPACE CENTER allows you to connect to Space and the Universe.
Do you want to visit? PL SPACE CENTER is not a public location and it's not always open, however, when it's not in use for research or institutional activities, we may host visits for organizations and individuals interested in evaluating PrimaLuceLab technologies.
